Mudjimba/Twin Waters Beach
I am local to this area and know it very well. If you are looking for open space for the kids to run around or a quitter area away from the crowds, I can guide you to the perfect spot. The island offers a beautiful, natural back drop with a relaxed feel, and if you're keen to include your dog in the session I can recommend dog-friendly areas too. This location is perfect for families who love the outdoors and want photos that feel easy, fun and relaxed.
The Sunshine Plaza
If you have been following me for a while you will know I loooooove this location! It is absolutely my favourite on The Sunshine Coast. This particular location has such a gorgeous sunset and there is literally never any cars park here! It offers an urban feel and is a great spot if you are looking for a skateboarding, rollerblading or just something a little different from your family photo shoot.

Not all maternity sessions need to captured at the beach! What about finding a space that means something special to you. An old retro building perhaps where you met your lover? A maternity session in a community garden? I love an 'out of the box' photo shoot and have a few hidden gems up my sleeve if you need some help thinking of something unique to you and your family.
Yandina - Coolum Road
I like to think of this special spot as my own. Its amazing how many hours I have spent driving around The Sunshine Coast at sunset searching for all the best spots to capture your family. When I found this place I knew I was onto a good thing. The location offers a dirt road with the sun setting in the perfect spot and a gorgeous view of Mount Ninderry in the background. It is very remote and private. Some days there has even been cattle in the adjacent field.
This location is great for small family sessions and maternity
Lake Currimundi

Perfect if you are on the southern end of The Sunshine Coast. The last hour of day light here is dreamy. It can look as though you are far away in a desert somewhere - not 10 mins from Caloundra! It offers both beach, lake and Australian bush. It is another perfect all rounder location ideal for all types of photo sessions
Noosa Botanical Gardens
This place couldn't have more of a contrast to The Sunshine Plaza! If you love trees, greenery and privacy then this place is an absolute must! Every time I shoot here I am amazed at how quite it is! I might only pass a handful of people each time. And it is absolutely gorgeous. The lush trees and stunning flowers surround Lake McDonald and there seems to be something in bloom no matter what time of the year you visit. It is on the northern end of The Sunshine Coast so if it is a bit of a drive for you then I recommend making an afternoon of it, pack a picnic blanket, have a photo shoot and enjoy!
Noosa Botanical Gardens is a perfect location for a extended family session, maternity or immediate family session.
Kawana Beach
SUNSHINE COAST
We are obviously surrounded by beautiful beaches here on The Sunshine Coast. There are two reasons I like to suggest Kawana beach (Point Cartwright) for a family photo shoot. The first reason being the wind. Generally if it is blowing easterly onto the beach on one side it will be sheltered on the other which allows flexibility to choose the exact spot on the day of the shoot. The second reason I suggest Point Cartwright is because it allows for an earlier start time as the sun is lost behind the cliff edge earlier than most open beaches. This is great if you have younger children and are worried about shooting so late in the afternoon. Of course this option is a little wind depending but can usually be a great alternative to shooting earlier.
The dramatic cliff face and rock pools are also great to explore with little ones and can create some beautiful candid photos. It is also an off leash beach so ideal if you would like your pup to feature in the photos.
This location is ideal for any type of photo shoot
